One month of development in 5 minutes


As I developed Dawn of the Duck over the course of one month, I made a short gameplay clip every time I hit a development milestone. My original rationale behind doing this was that I would be able to look back and see where I spent my time, how I can streamline my development process, what worked and what didn't, etc.  

Playing them back-to-back, I found that the progression tells the development story on its own, in a non-technical fashion.  You can see the basic gameplay take shape with placeholders, the visuals and effects get built up, and the enemy behavior become more advanced over the course of the video.  I do have a few technical things I'll talk about when I post the source code, but for now enjoy the video!
